Prepaid card for old cell phone 2008/8/1 17:24
I lived in Japan for a few years up until 2007 and had an AU cellphone then with a contract. When I left Japan, I cancelled the contract of course but I still have the phone itself, charger, etc. I'm going back to Japan now for 2 months and was wondering if I would be able to arrange some sort of prepaid deal for this cellphone. I looked on the AU website but they talk about buying a prepaid phone. Are they different to standard phones? Any ideas?

You can take your old cell phone to au and ask them to make it a prepaid phone- costs 4000 yen I think
