Swimsuits in Japan

Hi,

I was wondering what was most common for males in Japn to wear at the beach, or a pool? As a westerner, I know that I obviously cannot fit right in, but I would rather not stand out completely or be insulting in a situation like this.

Most guys wear board shorts or mid-thigh length swimming shorts, some wear Speedo-type swimwear. Probably not so different from what you'd see at home, other than a few more people in Speedos perhaps.

Will we thus-attired attract attention ??
