I have this dream of living in Japan and working on an English-language newspaper, not as a writer but as a sub-editor/proofer. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Of course there are people who do proofreading/copy-editing at English language publications in Japan, so the jobs are there. Do you have experience and qualifications in the field already?

Not an easy job to walk into unless you already have plenty of that kind of work experience.

Yes, I have worked as a sub-editor on national newspapers in UK, and that involves proof-reading. Do you know where I could start to look for newspaper/proofing jobs?
Thanks
