Working as an Au Pair in Japan

I am thinking to come to Japan as an au pair. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it common to have American au pairs in Japan? Please only answer if you actually have an answer to it and not a guess about it.

There was a thread about this a while back, but the answer is no, there is no culture of au pairs or maids in Japan. As such, there is no visa provision that covers au pairs.

Wow, thanks for your quick reply. I didn't really think there was, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I don't want to teach English and although I know my degree will certainly find me a job there, I don't particular want to continue with this field, so I am looking for a change while I search for my change :-)
