sending stuff home to Australia 2008/12/15 20:57
Hey helpful people! Im heading home on Friday after 4 years in Japan. I have LOTS of stuff to send home. Was gonna use the post office but just found out that you can only send relatively small boxes. Any ideas?
Cheers.

I don't know how much stuff you have, but there has been a similar question...

Shipping 2008/12/16 12:14
Although I haven't used it myself, I have heard that you can ship stuff home in 3x3x3 containers for about 70 000 yen. I have heard this from various people over the years but I don'T know any further details. It may take 2-3 months, but as the weight limit is quite high, it seems to be the most cost effective. I imagine this does not include packing and getting the stuff to the shipyard itself, but still seems cheap.
Try perhaps searching for this method through shipping companies rather than removalist comapanies.
