What should I know when taping in Japan? 2009/1/10 00:38
Hello everyone. Thank you for reading my question. In March I will be going to Japan to film a short documentary about my school's alumni who now live and work in Japan. I wanted to know if there was anything I should be aware of, such as places I am not allowed to film, or different customs I should be aware of when I turn on my camera.

Thank you for your help!

Joey, as in most places if photography is forbidden there should be a sign saying so. And like anywhere else ask permission if you wish to film somebody quite obviously. I have never had a problem filming or photographing in a public place anywhere in Japan.
