transfer of visa to new passport?

Hi,
my passport is expiring on 2010 and i will renewing it probably this month. My extension permit expires on 2011.
After passport renewal, do i need to go to the immigration to transfer the visa and extension permit to the new passport?

It is possible to get your visa transferred, but not required. I used to walk around with two passports (new one and the old one with visa) for more than a year.

Oeuf,
It might be possible to continue with two passports, as Uji says, but the normal procedure is to go the immigration office to have them transfer the visa to your new passport. It's just a formality, so should not take too long.
