I am currently in Chiba right now and I was wondering, what are the nearest cinemas here? and are the Harry Potter films here shown in english? I do HOPE that they are shown in english.

Usually movies are shown in their original
language, with Japanese subtitles, however movies that are aimed more at children may also have dubbed showings, so check beforehand whether it is a dubbed or subtitled showing.
It is possible there will be several months delay between the movie coming out in English countries and in Japan, although it could be at the same time- depends on the movie.
As for theatres, where in Chiba are you? It is a large prefecture. Or do you mean Chiba city?
