Entering Japan with expired alien card?

I'm going to re-enter Japan this March but I just found out that my Alien Card has expired. But I still have my visa and re-entry permit still valid.
Is it possible for me to enter japan?

If you missed to renew your alien registration card because you were outside of Japan during the renewal period, it cannot be helped. You just should go to your city hall and renew your card as soon as possible after arrival. I don't think that you get into any troubles because of it at immigration.

Just to echo what Uji says, they don't ask to see your ARC at the airport on arrival - just your passport (and re-entry permit).
