Yes, please read the other thread too :)
For your family to be eligible for "Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident," YOU need to become a Permanent Resident first. Permanent Resident means not only someone who IS currently working in Japan with the intention to stay/live in Jaan permanently, but who has fulfilled certain requirements, including having lived in Japan for 10 years on one or more of the types of work-permitting visa.
If you come to Japan on one of the work-permitting visas and start working as a nurse, the only status available for your family is Dependent.
