Hi, I am bit confusing on Japan Public Phone. I read it somewhere that some are operated by KDDI, NTT and Japan Telecom. May I know how we know which Japan Public Phone is belongs to which company, in order for us to dial the correct access number for international calls? Thanks.

Public phone belong to NTT. KDD is one of operating companies for international calls. It is hard to find a public phone, as more people own their cell phones.

While public phones are becoming fewer they can still be found at may train stations at least in Tokyo (from passing observation). Actually I had to use one the other day since my mobile phone is broken.
