possible to fix a cut cord?

Somehow the electrical cord on my clothes dryer was cut, split into two pieces.I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to fix and how? Who should I contact about this? It is past the warranty but less than a year old.

it is possible to fix it, it's a fairly straightforward repair but you should have an electrician do it. just call any electrician that has a shop near you and have him put a new cord on it. he may even be able to salvage the old cord by cutting off the split end and attaching a new plug to it.
