can someone tell me what katai yakisoba is ? I know what yakisoba is but have never heard of katai yakisoba. TIA

katai means hard. maybe it is another word for sara-udon??? have no clue. where did you heard/read this?

It is a type of Chinese stir fry noodle commonly found at Chinese restaurants in Japan. Normal one is called "yakisoba", and "kata(i)yakisoba" is Chinese egg noodle deep fried (so very crispy).
Yes, it's like "sara udon" but the pasta is egg noodle, not udon. :)
