Internet Connection in Japan

I red somewhere that You can have 100Mbit or even 1Gbit connection in Japan. The question is. Are those fast connections restricted in downloaded / uploaded data.
I have to admit that even 20Mbit connection in my country is extremely fast and usual is restricted to 10GB download. After this speed is decreased to lets say 1Mbit.
Is it same in Japan. If You can, please tell us what connection do You have and are You happy with Your provider.

100Mbps with unlimited up/download with fiber optic cable is common in Japan. The actual speeds are much lower. The max speed that I've ever recorded was about 25Mbps.
