mashiko restaurants?

Can anyone tell me of any restaurants in Mashiko? My husband and I used to go to Mashiko (admittedly this was 20 years ago) and I remember that there were very few restaurants then. We are now planning a family trip there and will arrive in the village around noon and need a good place for lunch.

We were in Mashiko in March last year (2008): not a lot re food, but amazing for everything else. If we went again we would get something at Utsunomiya station and have a picnic.

Thanks. I guess not much has changed as far as restaurants. That's a good idea, though. We may just eat at Utsunomiya before catching the bus.

If its 20 years since your last visit then the new museum complex will be something to enjoy. Mashiko is a delight..we would love to find time to return
