What to wear? (Young middle aged)

I'm a 36 yr old woman who will be going to Japan in late Nov.
I'll wear a black overcoat for colder days. On warmer days/areas, are cropped jackets and mini skirts with tights acceptable for my age?
Do the young middle aged wear crocs?
Thank you, Elisa

It definitely depends on how short the mini skirt is....if it is too short i think a lot of people will be talking about you or laughing and also laughing about the crocs as they are a dont for japanese fashion

Elisa, I think you can pretty much disregard the above reply. a) I'm sure you weren't planning to wear a micro-mini in any case, and b) I very much doubt that people would laugh at you anyway.
As for the Crocs, while they are not the choice of super-fashionable people here (or anywhere), they are very popular among ordinary people. There is even a 4 storey Crocs store in central Tokyo.
