I want to get a friend some nice macarons for Christmas. Can anyone recommend a place in Kyoto where I might find some? I will be heading into Osaka in the next few days as well, so somewhere in Umeda would be okay too.

According to what I read, the following place is one of the best ones in Kansai area. Open all year long BUT they have shorter bussiness hours on Dec. 31 (11:00am-8:00pm) and on Jan.1 (11:00am-7:00pm).
