Japanese breakfast

I know it is not tradition in Japan to eat breakfast out, but in March we will be staying in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Hakone. I've e-mailed out hotels but am coming up with very little information.
Several times in Hawaii I have enjoyed Japanese breakfast - rice with seaweed strips on top, separate bowl of miso soup, and sometimes rice with green tea poured over - may also include a small piece of fish.
We're going to Tsukiji one morning, so that will cover our morning fish (ha ha).
But, in the cities listed above, I'd really like to find places where I can order Japanese breakfast. I am not a fan of eggs and heavy greasy American breakfasts (even though I am American). If our hotels (Park Hyatt) serve this, it would be at really ridiculous prices. Please list any sugeestions in the cities above. Domo arigato.

maybe train stations

Most train stations will have an outlet with Japanese style breakfast. (We did this in Kanazawa) There would have to be one in Tokyo Station. We have had (on days when we knew sitting down for lunch would take to much time) the buffet at the Shinagawa Prince: 2000Y per head, so not cheap, but we took fresh fruit from the buffet with us for lunch. This buffet is great..has Japanese, Chinese and Western areas from which to choose, loads of juices and fruit, and reasonable coffee.

Thank you, I will check train stations. We really don't like buffets at all though, but thanks for the idea.
Anyone know of any resources for Japanese breakfast in Shinjuku or Roppongi, without having to go all the way down to the train station? We are not staying that close to the train station. Thank you.

Thank you for the excellent list of places with Japanese breakfast. I really appreciate it. Since it is all in Japanese, though, I don't know where these are located. Are they in Tokyo?

Hotel bf are good & usually western & Japanese food buffet for 2,000yen & up. When booking, make sure to include the bf. Ichigaya kaikan in Ichigaya had for 1,500yen great buffet. Any traditional Japanese bf is about 1,000yen & up so it is a good deal. Ryokan has Japanese bf usually included. I sometimes eat at Musashi, cheap Japanese dishes. Or find Hokka Hokka-Tei, a bento box chain.

Thank you Yoshi, that looks like more of what we were hoping for. I appreciate your taking the time to post this, as well as the proximity to our hotel. Park Hyatt said they have Japanese breakfast - for 8,000 yen (aka $80!) (yes you read that correctly).

Are there any places in Roppongi that have Japanese breakfast - names? We are staying in the Grand Hyatt there, later at the tail end of our trip, and again their breakfast prices are crazy. Looking for Japanese breakfast though, not American. Thanks.

http://www.mapfan.com/en/en_m.cgiDenny's (family restaurant) Check "Point of Interest" and search "Denny's". Click "Denny's(Minamiaoyama Shop)" from Search Results. The center is that Denny's is located. Also you can see "Roppongi Hills" below. That is where Grand Hyatt is located. Matsuya and Yoshinoya (fast food restaurant) Search "Grand Hyatt" and click "Grand Hyatt Tokyo" from Search Results then the center is Grand Hyatt. Also you can see Roppongi station above Ropponngi Hills. Drag it to the center and zoom in to the maximum then you can see "4b". That is where Matsuya is located. And also "6" is in the right corner where Yoshinoya is located. Sorry my poor English.
