Livehouse and festivals from May 20 - 30

I am going to tokyo from May20 - 30 with my sister. Is there any festivals around tokyo during this date? I have been told there would be a festival in Shinjuku from may28 - 30 but i could not find details online. Anyone knows about it?

We are also interested to go to livehouses. Any good recommendation? foreigner friendly if possible, I can speak basic japanese though. Thanks in advance

Thanks xexstyle. I do not think I can make it on Sunday as my return plane is on that Sunday. Is the festival a three day event? I do not mind not attending the parade on Sunday. My sis wants to just enjoy the festive atmosphere.

One question on festival - I am interested in Sanja Matsuri at Asakusa. Anyone can confirm on the dates. At this website its listed down as 21 - 23 May but at another site its 14 -16 May. Which is correct?

Thanks. I guess I have to be content with the Hanazono Jinja matsuri.

I also read about Yayoi Matsuri. Does anyone here knows when is the date for 2010? I read about it but the date was for 2009. Thanks again!
