cell phone e-mails? 2010/3/28 23:28
Hello,

If I send an e-mail to a Japanese cell phone, can the receiver receive the e-mail even if he is overseas? For example, I am in Japan, and he is in America, and I am trying to send an e-mail to ---@alpha.ocn.ne.jp

Would I be able to send this e-mail even though I am in Japan and he is in America?

Thanks in advance!

Mokuba,

Most Japanese mobile phones cannot be used outside Japan, so in most cases the person would not be able to receive the email until they returned to Japan.
However, "ocn" is a regular ISP - not a mobile phone address - so the person will be able to receive emails if they have internet access. Why not just send an email and see?

Hi Dave,

I didn't know "ocn" was a regular ISP. I guess he's using his i-phone or something? Anyway, thanks for replying.
