Umeshu 2010/5/29 10:38
Hi!! I just have a question about purchasing umeshu outside of Japan.
I live in Melbourne, Australia and wanted to buy the same umeshu we drank when visiting Japan. The name of the two I'd like are:
Uji Gyokuro Umeshu and
Creha Royal@g’ƒ”~Žπ (koucha flavoured umeshu)

This stuff is SO yummy and if anyone knows where i can get my hands on some I'd love to know!!

If they don't have in Melbourne, check others in Australia before ordering from Japan.

Also, Maedaya Izakaya in Bridge Rd Richmond has an amazing range of Sake etc (owner is a Sake master) may have the Umeshu you are after, but its a restaurant, not a shop

Thanks for your help guys, i'll check it out. I did email Sake Japan but they don't stock the ones I'd like.
Oh well, if i don't have any luck I might just have to go back to Japan and stock up!! Now wouldn't that be a shame!! haha
