Identify a Japanese Art Journal for me? 2010/6/7 11:23
Hello, I'm in Los Angeles. I am part Japanese and although I love everything about my culture, I have not learned the language...yet! I need to identify what I believe to be an art journalASAP! I have pics of the cover, the ''foreward'' and a few illustrations from the journal. I am on a time crunch so any quick assistance would be grea. Please email me for pics. Thank you for your help!

John,

Please post the link HERE so that others can contribute as well :)

I can decipher (from the cover and the last page):
大津絵 吉川観方纂 Ohtsu-e (Ohtsu paintings/prints), written/compiled by Kanpo Yoshikawa
昭和11年5月5日印刷 Printed May 5, 1936
昭和11年5月15日発行 Issued May 15, 1936

The preface pages are upside down lol, BTW. I am not familiar with the painter, so I leave it to others for additional info :)
