I can't seem to find any up to date details on nightlife in Tokyo. Nightlife range from clubbing to night market/shopping. Can someone point me to a place for some good read or share them in this thread?

I'm hoping to get enough information so I can plan my 2nd short trip back to Tokyo. Thank you.

what about this audio tour of Kabukicho as a start point?

I haven't tried it myself but it looks good.

@Mel: Thanks for sharing but I believe that was not free content to begin with. I guess the nightlife guide is lacking indeed.

I didn't know you were looking for free resources only. Well, I guess it's all I got haha.. it's not expensive anyway, you should give it a try if you're interested in "learning" about nightlife.

From a touristic point of view, Roppongi may be one of the most "foreign-friendly" nightlife areas to explore. Just be careful with the prices.

Roppongi is too vague. You can't possibly explore this way since I'm kind of sure you'll need to pay entrance fee for most.
