The Sumo Tournament in Fukuoka is from November 13 to November 27. Tickets go on sale October 8. We went to Fukuoka last year and really enjoyed it, we ordered tickets through BuySumoTicktes http://www.buysumotickets.com/ who purchased them and shipped them to Australia so we had them before we left for Japan. They provided good service and were very easy to deal with (they've been recommended on here a number of times) There are numerous other ways to purchase the tickets, most detailed here:- http://ent-sumo.pia.jp/en/sumo01.phpIf you are not going on a busy day (ie during the week on a non-holiday) then you can also purchase tickets on the day, usually from 8am of the day at the box office. All of the "seats" are a fair distance away from the main arena, but the view is still pretty good. If you want to be much closer then you will need to purchase a box. Enjoy your trip!
