Fuji-Q Pack: how to book 2011/5/24 17:34
I am going to Tokyo in June with a group of friends and we are looking to go to Fuji-Q Highland theme park. We are planning to get the Q-pack, which would mean getting the bus from Shinjuku, but I am unsure how to book it.

There seem to be two options, booking over the telephone and booking the bus online.

Here is the link for booking the bus online. There is a box on the right for booking in English but I am unsure if I am just booking the bus here or the whole Q-pack (including entrance tickets). I do not want to make a mistake and only book the bus, which is why I am asking here.

I am a bit anxious about making a booking over the phone as my Japanese is limited. I have been in Tokyo before and got by then without knowing much Japanese at all, but I was wondering if anyone here knew how easy it was to book the pack in English over the phone.

The final option is that we turn up the day before we plan to go and book in person, although we would rather have it all booked and ready before leaving England.

Here is the info on the Q-pack itself. Thank you!

For the package deals, the top page in Japanese is here, listed at the top is the "Q pack."
https://www.highwaybus.com/html/gp/guide/coupon/coupon.html#coupon01

When I check the page (in Japanese) on how to buy the "pack" deals, they say:
(1) Book only the highway bus, either via phone or via this web page, (Please do not make any credit card payment, but simply book the bus.)
(2) Show up at Shinjuku bus terminal at latest 10 minutes prior to departure, inform the staff that you are purchasing the "pack" deal including the bus booking, and purchase/pay for the tickets.
(3) Board the bus (you cannot pay once you are ON the bus, so be sure to pay at the bus terminal.)

Since that seems to be the normal procedure, I think it is OK to go ahead with the "English" button and book the bus trip.

Probably when you complete your booking, they will inform you how to pay and when and where... :)
