Usa Japan in 1956

In 1956 while stationed at Yokota AB in Fussa Japan I was TDY'd aboard the CVA10 (Yorktown) and ported in Beppu Harbor spending a week in Usa (OO-Sah) Japan. There was a toy manufacturing company there using the label: "made in Usa". Regardless of Snopes' claim as a hoax I did see and witness this.

There are several towns in the US called Paris, London, Berlin and other very well known towns and nobody would confuse these towns with the real thing...
