I called Japanican on the 13th. The Customer support person said she would cancel the reservation. I asked if she knew why I wasn't able to cancel the reservation online, but she didn't mention a reason. The only reason I wanted to know was if it was for a common situation that could be easily remedied.
The cancellation was done quickly and courteously. I received an email confirmation and was able to check it online the next day.

Thanks for the followup. Makes Japanican look good again :) Too bad you weren't told a reason, but at least you got it resolved.
