Where can I find street maps of Japan

Not maps in bookstores. If what was wanted was paper maps, there are other places to get them...Rand McNally, for example.

if ur goin to japan u can probably get maps of where your going at the airport;)

Does anyone know a good online streetmap of Nagoya? All I can find are Japanese language versions without option for translation into English.

Hey, Does anyone know where I could find a street map of Chiba (specifically Ichihara) in English? I've been hunting around, but I can't seem to find a good one. I tried some of the links here, but they didn't help either.

I understand that Mapple has an English version of a streetmap.

I`ve been using shobunsha for many years and never get lost.It`s a romanji japanese map which you can find at any honyasan or brazilian products shop.

I have the
"Japan A Bilingual Atlas"
and Tokyo street map book
3 rd edition and they are both very good.
Ok mainly main streets are named only but pretty easy to find most places and city maps are easy to follow.
Most major book stores in any major city there should have a copy.

This probably isn't exactly what you want, as these maps are in Japanese.
If you check out Google maps you can search in English for your location, and by zooming in you can do a Street View, which is what you would actually see if you were walking down the street.
This might be something to look at with a map that is in English as you can get your bearings easier on Google maps by actually seeing where you want to go.
