Finally my name is on the homukyoku bulletin.I'm just waiting for the person in charge to call me for the next step.

Last friday i received a phone call from the person in charge for verification of my status.

For me it's already 9month and still waiting an update from homukyoku, last time they call it's 2 month ago around march 15 to bring a copy of my updated residence card,

it's really frustrating indeed waiting when the results will come, 😞

You need more patience while waiting for the result. And try not to think about it everyday to avoid the frustration.
I have submitted my renunciation certificate and waiting for the kanpou to check my name in it.
But I don�ft know that how long it will take for homukyuku to publish my name in the kanpou after submitting the renunciation certificate.
Actually these days, I am a kind of stateless person because I already cancelled my nationality and currently don�ft have any country passport and waiting for the Japanese nationality.

Which nationality are you from? Can you share how long in total you waited before getting your result?

I am from Vietnam and it took around 13 months until the result.
Now just waiting for the name to be published in the kanpou.

It took me about 3 months to got the renunciation certificate.

@Zhu tks for ur answer, omg it was super fast in your case. Congratulation! I asked some vnese who have done and almost their cases were at least 1 year.

In my case they also told me that it will take around 1 year but luckily it took around 3 months.
Did you get the result from homukyuku?

@zhu the homukyoku just told me to do the renunciation first. I went to the VN consulate in Osaka last month to do the process. They told me the result would be in 1-2 years

You should push them by sending emails and phone calls then the consulate staff will send your documents fast.
Actually they are lazy to farward our case.
It�fs not that much difficult things to issue the renunciation certificate.

you r right, those staffs r very lazy. Until now, they never picked my phone and replied any mails

The staffs there are worst and they don�ft do their duty properly. You need to call them as many times as you can to push them to speed up your case. And also tell them that it�fs very important to get the renunciation certificate and submit it to Japanese Homukyoku. Otherwise the staff in embassy will delay your case. I sometime got angry at the staff.
Anyway, I hope you can get the renunciation certificate as soon as possible.
I am waiting for my name to be publish in kanpo.

now i just pray for my renunciation certificate can be issued inside this year.
by the way, can i ask you if you already live here in japan more than 10 years. I heard that for this case, the renunciation process runs faster

Thank you.
I came to japan at the end of 2017.
10 years are not so important. Important things are to stay legal, pay all the taxes and insurance and with a good financial status and have good moral and good reputation.

I have also submitted my renunciation certificate to the legal affairs bureau about 3 weeks ago and waiting for the name to be publish in kanpo. Everyday I am checking kanpo. Waiting time is hard.
