You can get a spikey haircut by having your hair cut with a straight razor. Most any hairdresser will know what you're talking about.

is really nice. I like it. I've just been there two weeks ago, which is in Ginza. The entrance looks posh and it's just like hotel's reception-actually there's a woman calls concierge though,,
Anyway people and their skills are very reliable.

I personally think my Japanese haircut totally rocks. It's got a side fringe that isn't too heavy, long layers and spiky but feathery ends. To get this look, tell your hairdresser that you want your parting to the side and ask them to use a straight razor for the layers. A good hairdresser will use sharp straight razors, but if it hurts, you have the right to complain.
Straighteners would be useful if you don't already have straight hair. Also, if you want to stand out, you could dye your hair dark brown, red or black-purple.
