Many Yoshino Cherry trees are currently approaching full bloom. But a good weather period is about to end. The weather was partially cloudy today, and the forcasts are unfortunatelly bad for the peak of the Yoshino Cherry flowering season which is going to take place during the next seven to ten days.

The group of Yoshino trees close to the Community Centre at Granville Island need a few more days to reach full bloom.

The Yoshino Cherry trees in front and around the museum have started to open and will reach full bloom within a week. There is one tree of a different type of Yoshino Cherry east of the museum, which is already standing in full bloom. Furthermore, there are about four pink cherry trees just east of the museum, which we believe to be "Rosy Cloud" Higanzakura, a very rare species in Vancouver.

The Yoshino Cherry trees at the Yew Street entrance of Kitsilano Beach Park have started to open their blossoms and will reach full bloom within the next five to seven days. There are a couple of trees of a different type of Yoshino Cherry just east of the tennis courts which are already in full bloom.
