Mitsui Outlet Park - Kisarazu

Mitsui Outlet Park - Kisarazu is a large outlet shopping mall across the bay from central Tokyo. With easy access to the city, it is one of the largest outlet malls in the region and home to over 170 outlet and factory stores including luxury international fashion brands, sportswear and accessories, home furnishings and casual goods. Mitsui Outlet Park - Kisarazu attracts shoppers with good deals and an attractive location along Tokyo Bay, and is designed with a fun, seaside resort style atmosphere featuring open plazas and palm tree lined walkways. Most of the shops around the outlet park offer everyday savings from 30-60% off of regular retail prices, and up to 80% off during sales periods.

One of the distinguishing features of Mitsui Outlet Park - Kisarazu is its large range and variety of stores, 21 of which are outlet shops that do not exist anywhere else in Japan, including several high end international fashion designers that you would not expect to find in an outlet mall.

In addition, there are factory outlet stores of popular athletic shoe and sportswear manufacturers, casual wear, outdoor wear, luggage, housewares and accessories brands. There really is something for everyone including travellers, and several shops specialize in uniquely Japanese items such as tableware and lacquerware, toys, anime goods, and professional cutlery.

But more than just a shopping mall, Mitsui Outlet Park - Kisarazu also provides a variety of amusements and entertainment including stage shows and performances held along the covered Pier Street at the center of the park, and a wonderful selection of restaurants and cafes, many of which feature local Chiba specialties or utilize local seafood and produce to make their dishes.

The outlet mall also offers plenty of rest areas where you can take a break from shopping, such as the rooftop Ocean View Terrace with views out to Mount Fuji and the Tokyo Skytree on a clear day. Other attractions include a 16 hole crazy golf course, and the family oriented Kids Park and Pop Jet Square which features a fountain show.

Access and Surroundings

Mitsui Outlet Park - Kisarazu is situated just 45 minutes from central Tokyo across the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line tunnel and bridge. Buses to the park operate from local train stations as well as from major stations in Tokyo, Yokohama, and Kawasaki.

The outlet mall is close to other attractions including Umihotaru, a highway rest stop built on an artificial island in Tokyo Bay; Mother Farm, Japan's largest tourist farm; Kamogawa Sea World aquarium and theme park; and Doitsumura, a German themed amusement park.

Mitsui Outlet Park - Osaka Tsurumi

Just 30 minutes from central Osaka, Mitsui Outlet Park - Osaka Tsurumi was the first full-scale outlet shopping mall built in Japan. It contains nearly 65 factory outlets, shops and restaurants which attract shoppers with everyday savings from 30-80% off of regular retail prices. The mall is located on the top three floors of a unique, flower shaped building, and although not open to the public, the floors below the outlet mall comprise the Osaka Wholesale Flower Market, the second largest flower market in Japan.

Mitsui Outlet Park - Osaka Tsurumi features a variety of shops including fashion, clothing, and housewares. However what sets this outlet mall apart from the others is the wide selection of sportswear factory outlets and outdoor gear brands found throughout the shopping center. These include several major international and domestic athletic wear and footwear companies as well as popular camping and hiking brands.

The outlet park's store are arranged around a central plaza and covered by a hinged roof with eaves that resemble flower petals. The roof is partially open to the sky, and this sort of indoor/outdoor design opens up the plaza to fresh air and light making for a more enjoyable shopping experience. A stage at the center of the plaza provides a venue for live events and performances which are regularly held on weekends and holidays.

Mitsui Outlet Park - Osaka Tsurumi also offers a nice selection of restaurants, cafes and fast food eateries where shoppers can get a quick bite to eat in between shopping. Some of these restaurants feature mouthwatering Kansai regional foods such as takoyaki and okonomiyaki.

Access and Surroundings

Mitsui Outlet Park - Osaka Tsurumi is only a few minutes walk from Kadoma Minami Station, and just 30 minutes from central Osaka by subway. Free shuttle buses also operate between the park and Keihan Railway's Moriguchi-shi Station.

The outlet mall is close to other attractions such as Tsurumi Ryokuchi Park, a large public park on the site of the 1990 World Flower Expo, which includes a greenhouse, eco museum, and dozens of model gardens; and Namihaya Dome, a public swimming pool and skating rink.
