November 10, 2013 - A sunny Sunday in Tokyo (Yoyogi, Harajuku, Odaiba)
After a long Saturday night, I had to chill out a little bit on Sunday morning.
And there is no better place to do this than in Yoyogi Park! A big park in the middle of the big city of Tokyo, where you see lots of runners, people go walking with its dogs, or just have a break in the park. You even see some dressed cosplay artists and Elvis-Presley-look-a-likes there!
Right next to the park there is the Meiji shrine, one of the biggest shrines in Tokyo - with its own big park and garden area. I even had the chance to see a traditional Japenese wedding going on at the moment.
After a delicous lunch in the park, I continued my way through Tokyo in Harajuku, where I met a friend. Harajuku street is just crazy! Everybody is dressed colorful, there are clothing shops on every corner, and everyone seems just to have a great time there.
Our journey continued to the artificial island of Odaiba, where we visited the GUNDAM robot statue as well as the statue of Liberty. Yes, there is a Statue of Liberyt within Odaiba, Tokyo! By the way, this is located right next to the freedom bell. Odaiba is a trendy district of Tokyo, with lots of shopping centers and a beautiful view over the cost of Tokyo and the Rainbow bridge, which connects Odaiba to the rest of Tokyo. Once again, I enjoyed a delicous noodle soup.
My day ended again with some drinks in Shibuya - it just never gets boring...

beautiful Yoyogi Park - a great place to hang out and just enjoy a sunny day!

The entrace torii on the way to Meiji shrine

lots of visitors in the front of Meiji shrine. Traditionally clothed Japanese men and women everywhere, even a wedding took place that day!

The famous streets of Harajuku. No carnival going on there, but lots of colorul dressed people on the crowded streets.

The life-sized GUNDAM robot outside a shopping center on Odaiba. It even talks and moves!

The Statue of Liberty in front of Rainbow bridge, which connects Odaida to Tokyo. Tokyo sky line in the back.
