Nikko, Hakone or Kamakura - which 2 to pick ?

Hi All,

I have limited time, and so can only choose 2 out of visiting Nikko, Hakone or Kamakura.

This will be my first Japan trip, so am really open to anythign and have no preference. For those that have visited before, if you had to choose 2 of them, which one would you visit ?

I would go to Kamakura and Nikko because I have a big interest in shrines and temples. Furthermore, Nikko offers some nice natural scenery.

But depending on the context of your trip and your personal interests, it may be better to visit Hakone instead of Kamakura, e.g. if you visit many other temples on the same trip and don't have an above-average interest in temples.
