Hey everyone,
I really want to travel to Tokyo Japan in Summer 2014 (July) for 2 weeks. Do you think that this money is enough for everything? Thanks for your answers :)

depend on what you gonna do in there bro. if you find a cheap hostel and go backpacking around and not do much shopping, that amount of money is enough.

Excluding airfare, that is plenty of money for mid-budget travel, and on the high side for low-budget travellers.
But if that includes airfare then it might not be enough. The plane tickets alone could eat up your entire budget depending on what kind of airline fares you can get.

That'ss leave you with €1800 left to spend. There's a youth hotel called Juyoh in Minamisenju that has rooms for less than €25 per night, so that'll cut you back by €325 (assuming 14 days is 13 nights).
Then foodstuffs can be as low as 2000 yen per day, travels around 1500 inside Tokyo. I call 3 sidetrips outside of Tokyo, let's say 5000 yen per trip. Then add an average 500 yen per day for admittance and other misc stuff. That a VERY rough estimate. Lemme do the math. It'll cut you back another 71000 yen, which is around €550.
My math says you have plenty of money to spare for a nicer hotel, some maid cafes, cat cafes, an onsen, a night club, a couple of souvenirs, and going loose in a Daiso.
You'll be fine.

It's all up to your standards, really. If you want to stay in pricey hotels, it may not be enough. But staying at the lowest budget places, that is more than enough. If you want some ideas on where to stay, clean yet inexpensive, try: http://www.toyoko-inn.com/eng/http://www.superhoteljapan.com/en/http://www.kid97.co.jp/~jeh-group/jeh-group.htmlhttp://www.wix.com/astroflight/accommodationsAnd if you have never stayed in one before, I recommend you spend at least a night in a Japanese Inn or ryokan. There are some inexpensive ones in Tokyo, like the Kimi, the Tama, the Taito and the Tokyo Ryokan. See: www2.dango.ne.jp/kimi/ryokan.html www.tamaryokan.com www.libertyhouse.gr.jp www.tokyoryokan.com Likewise, eating decently can run you 2500-3000 yen per day per person. Going to bars and taxis though can kill you. It would seriously be tragic if you only stayed in Tokyo. Go see Kyoto/Nara if you can. Or at the very least get out of Tokyo for some day trips like seeing Kamakura, Nikko, Hanone, and the Fuji 5 lakes area. Look into some regional JR Rail Passes like on http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/pass/index.html or for all of Japan see http://www.japanrailpass.net/

Hi,
we spent twoo weeks in Japan, being in Tokyo, Fuji, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Hiroshima (this means a lot of transportation and related costs).
During this week we spend app. 5000€ for 2 persons including flight from Wien.
In Tokyo we were app. 5minutes walk from Shinjuku in Nishitetsu Inn for app 80€/night (check the booking.com).
We planned to spend app. 10thd. per day and person (app. 80€)and for Tokyo this was absolutely sufficient and never felt financially limited.
Just a basic math: 700€(flight)+520€(40x13)+ 1120(80x14)=2320€
Our daily spend finaly included lot of extra spends i dont need like (12thd. JPY taxi from Fuji, Kyoto knife shop 17thd. JPY). Everything depends on your lifestyle but I am sure that with 2500€ you be alright.
