my family (including a one year old) will be visiting osaka from sept 29 till oct 5 this year and it will be our 1st trip to japan.

1) how can we specifically get to the Namba station from kansai airport since we may be staying at hotel hilarys?

2) should we get the JR pass and where can we buy them once we touch down?i also wish to know to what extent the pass can be used, for example can we get to the universal studio and other parts of osaka?

3) any recommended halal japanese/other cuisines restaurants or stalls?

4) any pass that we should take advantage of that comes which free tickets or similar since we are trying to save more.

ur kind attention is very much appreciated.

First off, what is your itinerary?

1) how can we specifically get to the Namba station from kansai airport since we may be staying at hotel hilarys?

Your hotel is closer to Nankai Namba station so I would take the nankai trains.

If you are just visiting Osaka, then no it will not make sense. Also the JR pass must be purchased in advance OUTSIDE of Japan. See this page for more info on its coverage:

4) any pass that we should take advantage of that comes which free tickets or similar since we are trying to save more.

Depends on where you are going.
