Miyajima during Golden Week

Is it a good idea to visit Miyajima and Hiroshima during Golden Week?

I'm gonna visit Kyoto from Tokyo during 2014 Golden Week and thinking to go 1-day side trip to Hiroshima Peace Park and Miyajima. I'm fully aware that everywhere in Japan will be crowded that time. But if, at least, it won't be too stressful nor I can enjoy the wonderful time, I am willing to spend one day trip. If there will be a lot of hassles and I can't even get a chance to take great photos, then I won't bother and save it for next time.

Any suggestion please! ^_^

May 5 is one of the days they hold performances at Miyajima so it should be very crowded. On the other hand, if you get a good viewing spot, you could get some great pictures and the experience would be memorable I'm sure.

All of the days will likely be crowded, but if you give yourself a full day and expect a bit slower pace, I think you can still enjoy it.
