Asahikawa Zoo

I'm planning to visit Asahikawa zoo on the 10-Feb or 11-Feb and would like to take the zoo train 8:30am from Sapporo.

I'm worry there isn't any seats avaialble as I only arrive Sapporo on the 9-Feb.

Anyone can advise how can I check whether are the seats available?

As of now, the train on the 10th has only some vacancies, but the train on the 11th still has a lot of vacancies.

I recommend to try to make the reservation on the 9th. In case you fail, you won't be able to ride the special train. But there are lots of other regular trains that go to Asahikawa.

I'm looking at either 10 or 11 Feb becasue the Asahikawa ice fesctival end at 11-Feb and I plan to visit both on the same day and to take the Zoo train (the kids love it).

I guess upon arrival at Sapporo I will need to visit the JR station to reserve the seats.

Hope by that time there are seats available.
