Is it worth going to Shibazakura on June 1?

Hi! My friends and I will arrive in Tokyo on May 31st. We would like to see the Shibazakura on June 1 and perhaps go to Fujikyu Highlands after. Is it worth to go there on the last day?
We're concerned that the flowers won't be in full bloom or aren't as picturesque anymore. If you'd recommend that it's not worth it, then we'll just go to Fujikyu highlands on a weekday where there's less people. Thanks!
