Horyuji and Nara in one day?

Hello,
I am staying in Shin-Osaka and want to devote a day trip to Nara.
If I leave early in the morning, is it possible to combine the southwestern Nara temples (Horyuji, Toshodaiji, and Yakushiji) with the main attractions of Nara (Nara Park, Todaiji)? I was wondering if I could do this in 1 day. I'm a fast traveler, but I don't want to rush either.
I only have one day in Nara, so that's why I was curious what everyone suggests.

Yes, it's possible to do in a day. Just keep in mind that the temples tend to close around 5pm, but they also open early so try to get an early start to really maximize your sightseeing time.
