Kanto area pass and Gala Yazawa ski resort

Hi

Could anyone tell me more details of Kanto area pass?
- Can it be used on NEX?
- The validity is 3 consecutive days, how do they count? If I start using the ticket on 21 Mar 5pm would it expire on 23 Mar? or 24 Mar 5pm?
- How can I use the ticket to return from Yuzawa to Shinjuka? There seem to be no direct line. I tried Expedia and Jorudan but they don't give me search results. Where do I change the train?

1. Yes, the Kanto pass can be used on the N'EX.

2. The validity period of all passes is based on calendar days: if you start using it on the 21st, it will expire on the 23rd at midnight.

3. There are no direct trains from Echigo-Yuzawa to ShinjukU, you must take a Shinkansen to a station in the Tokyo area (Omiya, Ueno or Tokyo) and then a local train to Shinjuku.
