Day 5 is pretty busy.
Ibusuki has trains about once an hour. And to see those attractions would take a couple of hours. Reaching Beppu in the same day would be possible if you plan to arrive long after 7pm. If you are staying at a nice Ryokan in Beppu than it would be a waste as you'll miss dinner.

Kagoshima has this amazing hotel. The hot spring is open to day visitors from 5 am... but it is hassle to get there so you might as well stay there.

Shiroyama castle hotel is set atop a hill will fine views of the city. The onsen looks onto Sakurajima island and the bay.

You don't really list your interests or approximate times about travel, but a few thoughts....
Day 1 is very empty. The two places are close by and neither takes long to see. Plus in Fukuoka you are missing one of the very best places in Japan - the Nanzoin Temple Great Buddha, just 20 minutes by train from Hakata Stn.:

There are other places you can see and do as well to fill in the day. Have a look at:

Day 2 - if you like squid, Yobuko is not bad, otherwise, rather unspectacular. The caves are much better. It'll take you 3 hours to get from Karatsu to Kagoshima-chuo though, most likely by going all the way back to Hakata Station. You are also entirely skipping Nagasaki, which is the most interesting city on the whole island.

Day 3 - No Sakurajima? That's like going to India and skipping the Taj Mahal. The hot springs are nice, but don't miss walking on this live volcano.

Day 4 - The Hells Tour is great fun, but only takes 2-3 hours at most.

You should enjoy Takegawara though.
You might want to see the Takasakiyama Monkey Park & Aquarium also:

Day 5 - Climbing Mt. Misen is a rocky uphill challenge. If you have a bunch of stuff, definitely use the lockers in the station and don't take anything you don't need.

Good luck.
