Hello everyone,
I would like to ask a question. My family will be doing a self-drive to Shirakawago village in June. On the way from expressway into Shirkawago village, I will drive past the valley road to the Shiroyama Viewpoint. I know there is a bus Yen200 per trip that pick up tourists from village to the viewpoint. May I ask can rental car be allowed to drive up to the viewpoint? Or is it a must that all tourists have to either take the bus or walk up to the viewpoint?

You can drive up, and there is a parking lot up there for private cars.
