Jomonsugi hike in October

Good morning
I read about this Jomonsugi hike which would take around 9-11 hours to complete, starting before sunrise. I plan to a visit to Yakushima in mid October. As sun times are much shorter in October (rise around 6-7 am, set around 17 in the evening), maybe it is not possible to do this hike?
Would the bus times be expected to change according to sun times too?
Are there many hikers in October by the way?

Yes, hikers still a lot exactly but really busy or not depends on calender
and recent days weather so hike road good or not is most important.
In Oct still Tyhoon season so if after attacked baddest.

But is it possible to complete before sunset? Getting dark I mean, or att least catching the last bus back?
