Best way to get from Osaka to Mt Fuji

What is the Best or cheapest way to get from Osaka to Mt fuji, is it cheaper to take a bus or is the added cost and speed of the trains worth it. Hoping to travel tomorrow 10/9/2015 morning or night. Haven't seen many recent answers to this question so some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You basically have two options, overnight bus from Osaka or Shinkansen to Mishima and bus. It's all on the Mt. Fuji page of this website.
