Using the Sun-Q Bus Pass in Northern Kyushu 2016/2/1 12:01
Hi!
My family will be travelling in Northern Kyushu and we are thinking of purchasing a 3-day SunQ pass for the following itinerary:
Day 1:
- Morning bus from Kumamoto to Mt Aso, Take shuttle to ropeway.
- Afternoon bus from Mt Aso to Kurokawa Onsen. Stay overnight.

Day 2:
- Morning bus from Kurokawa Onsen to Yufuin.

Day 3:
- Morning bus from Yufuin to Beppu Hotel Kamenoi.

How do we check out the timetables for these routes? Do we have to make reservations for any of these journeys? Or do we just wait at the bus-stops and show our pass? Any advice on the best way to travel this route would be greatly appreciated!!
Regards.

Timetables are available from the website of each bus company; there is also a Kyushu-wide timetable portal, but I find it horrible to use. Reservation is not necessary (or possible) on local buses, but may be necessary on highway buses. Again, see the website of the bus company.
