Bomb Remains in Nagasaki

Are there any structures in Nagasaki that survived the atomic bomb like the famous 'A-Bomb Dome' in Hiroshima? Or any areas in the city with atomic shadows? I know there's a musuem and peace park, but can't find any information on structures that survived the atomic bomb. Maybe they were all rebuilt after the war?

Yes, there is a section of the Urakami Cathedral that survived and was moved to Hypocenter Park. There's also a section of ground just down from the museum the has been protected and you can look at it through glass windows.

Nothing quite as dramatic (at first glance anyway) as Hiroshima's A-bomb dome, but there are scattered fragments here and there as described above. One of the most memorable from my visit was the massive domed tip of one of Urakami Cathedral's bell towers, which was knocked clean off the church by the blast and left pretty much where it fell. Smaller fragments of the original church are preserved in front of the rebuilt structure, and a large portion of brickwork was relocated to the park near the hypocentre (as mentioned in a previous comment). Photos and locations here: https://withinstrikingdistance.wordpress.com/2013/05/12/field-report-n...Cheers.

You can visit the museum website and click "Photos" to check locations on a map in which you can click to see more specific archive photos. http://city-nagasaki-a-bomb-museum-db.jp/en/search-bomb.htmlThe Sanno Shinto Shrine is another famous spot that still stands where it always was. Meanwhile, the bombed Virgin Mary of Urakami Cathedral was later dug out and finally placed in a chapel there in the year 2000, where it still is today.
