Iya Valley without a car 2016/4/18 01:34
Hi.
I would like to visit Iya Valley in early May.

- how is the weather like during that period ?
Lots of rain or ?
- as I do not drive, are there guided tours around the valley bringing us to the main sights and off the beaten track (if any) ?
Japanese tours should also be OK.
- which is the best hotel/ryokan to stay in the valley ?

Thank you.

I took the Bonnet Bus tour a couple of years ago - I think it goes to the important places - it is all in Japanese but if you research the stops you can figure it out...

Unfortunately the day I went in April was pouring rain so the boat trip part of the tour was cancelled.

I was staying in Kochi so don't know about local ryokan.
