Bus between Kanazawa and Matsumoto

Hi All,
We will be travelling by bus: Kanazawa - Shirakawa-go - Takayama - Matsumoto. I found the Shoryudo Highway Bus Ticket options - 3 days for 7000 yen (but without Matsumoto) or 5 days for 14000 yen (including Matsumoto).
Would it be a good option to buy the 3 day ticket for 7000 yen and then just an extra one way ticket from Takayama to Matsumoto? I found the Nohi bus from Takayama to Matsumoto for 3190 yen so it would still be cheaper than the 14000 yen for the 5 day pass.
Or, is there a better option, another bus company etc?
Is it easy to buy the one way Nohi bus ticket in Takayama (not in advance on the internet)?
With the Shoryudo Highway Bus 3 day pass, is it possible to ghop on, hop offh the bus whenever we want?
How does it work with the seat reservations? Do I purchase a ticket and then need to call to reserve a seat separately?
