Kyoto to Kawaguchiko Gotemba outlet

Hi
i am traveling from kyoto and staying 1N at kawaguchiko station area.
I am wondering what is the best route i should take as we are getting JR pass.
1) Kyoto to gotemba station 3 hrs to shuttle bus to gotemba outlet 20min. Any idea can the coin locker take full size luggage and price?
And gotemba tto kawaguchiko (google map says 8 hrs? Any other options, read there is a bus that takes 70 min, any idea what is the latest timing?)
2) Or should we check in to kawaguchiko first and visit the places there and head to gotemba outlet the following day then tokyo?
